FAITH FUNDAMENTS: DOCTRINE AND PRACTICES OF UNPI
With the goal of identifying ourselves with the theological stream and to promote thinking uniformity between professors, students and teachings, we set forth the following Synthesis of Our Creed:
I. The Bible
We affirm our trust in the inerrant Word of God. We treasure its truth, and respect its commandments. All of its 66 books, Old and New Testament are God's Word, inspired by the Holy Spirit, written by God chosen man. The Bible is without error in its original manuscript, it is absolutely trustworthy as the final authority in all matters of doctrine and practice, and it is centered in the person and work of Jesus Christ. (1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Timothy 3:15 - 17; and 2 Peter 1:20 - 21.)
II. God The Father
We acknowledge God the Creator as our Divine Father, infinitely perfect and intimate knower of all of our ways. First person of the Trinity; the Father is the source of all goodness, paternal in His relation with creation in general and particularly with the believers. Just one God, Eternal, Almighty, Omniscient, Holy, Just and True. In God's unity, He has reveal Himself in three persons- Divine Father, Beloved Son, and Holy Spirit. (Psalms 103:19; Mathew 28:19; y 1 Peter 1:2.)
III. God The Son
Jesus Christ, we acknowledge Him as our Lord- The same God who manifested Himself in the flesh- Worthy of our adoration and the theme of our praise. He is the second person of the Trinity, He reveals the Father. Following the eternal plan of the Father, the eternal Son humbly became man, and in that manly state he became obedient to death and death by cross. Truly God and a complete man, Jesus Christ lived a life without sin, and died to pay off our sin, miraculously risen from the dead, he was taking up to heaven, he is the advocate of the saints and he will come again in glory to establish his eternal kingdom. (John 1:1 - 3, 14; Philippians 2:5 - 8; Hebrews 1:1 - 3; and 1 John 5:11 - 12)
IV. God the Spirit
We acknowledge the Holy Spirit as the third member of the Trinity, and His ceaseless work to reveal the Son, convencer de pecado, and to comfort the believers. The Holy Spirit is the Father and Son's personal agent for revelation and regeneration of believers; giving them new life and training them to live a life of power and personal sanctity. We believe in today's ministry of the Holy Spirit and the exercise of all gifts and ministries. We emphasized that a life full of the Spirit will mostly be reflected in spiritual achievements. (John 14:26; Acts 1:5, 8; 1 Corinthians 6:19 - 20, 13 y 14; and Ephesians 1:13 - 14.)
V. Human Condition
We believe that God created man and woman in a perfect state, but Adam's fall brought upon humanity the curse of death and a tendency towards sin. That humanity does not have the hope of heaven except for a new birth made possible by the substitutive death of Jesus Christ at cavalry.
VI. Salvation
We believe that salvation is a gift of God to all of us who believe in His Son Jesus Christ, accepts him by faith, embraces his work and produces the fruit of repentance. Human beings, in a fallen state, can not get closer to God thru their own justice. God send His son Jesus Christ, to suffer capital punishment for humanity. Now just by believing the good news, that Christ died for your sins and that He rose from the dead; one can be forgiven of all sins and declare just in front of God, be born to a new life, and a God given guaranteed of eternal life. We believe that although God is Sovereign and wants that all man be saved and to proceed with repentance, He has given His creation,(Human and Angelical) the free will as the mechanism to choose right from wrong, and it will be your personal choice where you will be spending eternity. (John 3:16; Romans 10:9 - 10; 1 Corinthians 15:1 - 5; and Ephesians 1:4 - 12.)
VII. The Second Coming
We expect the Second Coming of Christ to happen at any point now. According to the Father's plan, Jesus Christ will come to fulfill the following events: the weddings of the lamb, to establish a one thousand years kingdom after the Tribulation, to carry out the judgment of the white throne, to appear in Christ court, to receive the rewards, to establish a new heaven and a new earth, to base the holy city of new Jerusalem, which will be the tabernacle of God and the saved ones for the rest of eternity.
VIII. The Church
We believe in a Christian Church, a living spiritual body, Christ being the Head and all other regenerated people are members of one another, co-servants, co-heirs and helpers of the work that was prepare by God before creation. Obedient to His Word and His commandments (which are not suggestions), saved by grace and not by law, free from the law of sin (not enslaves; Romans 6) to serve God and to conquer the whole world for Him thru the complete Gospel of Jesus.
IX. Ordinances
We believe that the lord Jesus Christ trusted two ordinances to the church: 1) Baptism. We believe in baptism by immersion as an external testimony of an internal grace and 2) The Last Supper. Communion, as a reminder of our Lord Jesus Christ's sacrifice to establish a New Pact.
X. The Great Commandment
We believe that the Bible clearly outlines that God is love and the law and the prophecies will come to pass when we love God above all things and others as we love ourselves, and even the spiritual gifts (for the edification of our bodies), must be exercise in love. We believe that love is the most important of all the spectacular gifts: without love, any exercise of the spiritual gifts will cease to have any value. Our teachings are centered in a personal relationship with God thru adoration, praise and the teaching of God's Word.
